Sustainable management of major road projects in Cameroon is subject to legal provisions that make the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) an essential reference. In recent years, however, there have been shortcomings in the implementation of the measures prescribed by this tool. It was against this backdrop that this study was carried out, with the aim of understanding and improving the way in which safety and environmental aspects were taken into account in the Yaoundé-Nsimalen motorway construction project. To achieve these objectives: in-depth semi-structured interviews and direct observations were carried out; the data was analysed using the content analysis technique, compliance analysis and the analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. This study revealed that the non-conformities identified and analysed were due to certain shortcomings in the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), the approximate implementation of ESMP measures by the company, and insufficient monitoring of ESMP implementation. Recommendations have been formulated for various stakeholders to ensure sustainable management.

Bimalleolar fractures are continuity fractures involving the medial and lateral malleoli of the ankle. Bimalleolar fractures are common and account for a large proportion of lower limb trauma, ranking 3rd in terms of total skeletal fractures. The intertubercular form is the most frequently encountered, accompanied by more or less extensive lesions of the syndesmosis. Easy to diagnose, the choice of treatment is much less so, and is increasingly problematic both in terms of indication and results. The impact of syndesmosis on the function of the lower limb is a real issue, as it plays a vital role in daily, professional and leisure activities, especially as it affects young people. Surgical treatment is indicated from the outset if these fractures are displaced or are accompanied by an opening of the syndesmosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the functional and radiological results of bimalleolar intertubercular fractures treated surgically.

Genocide is the deliberate and methodical annihilation of a group of people on the basis of their race, ethnicity, nationality or religion, with the aim of their total disappearance, in the name of a racist principle or an ideological conception of that group. The term genocide was coined in 1944 by the jurist Raphaël Lemkin to designate the systematic extermination of the Jews by the Nazis. Unlike ideological wars, where the victims are seen as the supposed vectors of their ideas, genocide is based on the discrimination of a population considered undesirable and the fact that membership of this population is linked to birth. Although the list of genocides recognised by historians, States and international tribunals is long, only three have been legally recognised by international bodies under the auspices of the UN: the Armenian genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1916, the genocide of Jews and Gypsies committed by the Nazis, and the genocide of the Tutsis in Rwanda, committed by extremist Hutu militias in 1994.genocide is a crime for which there is no statute of limitations.

The purpose of the study was to establish to what extent the problem-based learning module improves the level of learning in the subject of constitutional law with respect to learning with the traditional method in the Higher Technical School of the National Police "Puente Piedra" - Lima in in 2010. In this research, 45 students from the ¿Puente Piedrä Higher Technical School participated as an experimental group, and 45 students from the ¿San Bartolo¿ Higher Technical School as a control group. The research applied a module based on problems for the teaching of the subject of Peruvian Constitutional Law.

The modern movement was a milestone in architecture worldwide, by disseminating new ways of building and organising spaces in a troubled period, circumscribed by the great wars of the 20th century. In Brazil, the Federal Institutes were multiplier agents of modern architecture, with the construction of government headquarters in various capital cities. The construction of the João Goulart Building, former headquarters of the INSS, was a milestone of modern architecture in the capital of Maranhão, with the demolition of two-storey houses to insert one of the first and only skyscrapers in the foundational core, listed by UNESCO in 1997. Built in 1960, the INSS building in São Luís functioned for only 20 years in its almost 50 years of age; and it had a history of failed renovations and neglect by the competent public bodies, resulting in its complete abandonment and wear and tear, driven by vandalism and irregular occupations. Today it represents one more case of abandonment of this institution, as well as begging for a closer look at Brazilian modern architecture along with the importance of preserving cultural assets.

Mastery of mythological elements by Central Asian writers (on the example of works by Ch. Aitmatov, Sh. Rashidov, A. Mukhtar, T. Zulfikarov, A. Alimdjanov, O. Bokeev and R. Esenov)The given study tries to take into account the functional significance of myth in fiction in 1950-1980s on the basis of works of Central Asian writers. The work examines the poetics of myth and its genesis and evolution. The differentiation between myth and secondary phenomena of typological similarity is also done: a parable, a tale, a legend and a legend. The results and materials of the monograph expand the range of research on the study of myth poetics in literature and its functionality and interaction of myth and literature, the interaction and mutual influence of related ethnogenetic literatures of Central Asian peoples, their essence and specificity.

Bovine milk is a food consumed worldwide and has significant socioeconomic importance for the municipality of Ibertioga MG. Therefore, the objective of this work is to analyze the milk production chain of Ibertioga MG taking into account the Transaction Cost Economics, in order to contribute to the understanding of the dynamics of production and generate knowledge that enables decision-making aimed at the development of local production. A case study was carried out with 32 local producers, through the application of semi-structured questionnaires, approaching variables such as the frequency of transactions, risks involved in the activity, asset specificity, and the needs of the producers. The results showed the existence of high asset specificity, a high frequency in the milk sale transactions and a variable frequency in the input purchase transactions, and also that the local producers need a better technical assistance and that there is the necessity of a local association to improve the transaction conditions.

The complexity and multilayeredness of social development are conditioned by corresponding, immanent complex systems of economic contradictions, laws, and relations. The multisystem dialectics of the complex whole and the multisystem dialectics of the heterogeneous and multilayered determine the specifics of the dialectics of social development and the scale of research problems. The laws that are found in the study lead to the problems of dialectical cycles of economic development, in which the dialectics of the contradictions themselves play an essential role.

The Forum and the observatory that culminated in the preparation of the SDGs Report in Mozambique are a mirror of the commitment assumed by the country in promoting socio-economic development conditions of the populations. By assuming the 17 SDGs as part of the national agenda, these have been an added value in the efforts undertaken to preserve national potentialities. Taking into account the cyclical occurrence of phenomena associated with climate change, it is urgent to provide communities with prevention tools. It is urgent to contribute to their emancipation, in order to make them understand the need to assume a proactive leadership in the face of the impacts of global warming. An education focused on the development of competencies allows raising people's awareness about the management and preservation of natural resources and the environment. The SDGs are a localized global platform of measures and strategies towards an increasingly sustainable and balanced planet.

The ultimate objective of this work was to seek to discover how multinational firms affect small host economies. The influences exerted by foreign direct investment, portfolio investment as well as those of other variables relating to bilateral and multilateral trade to which the theoretical literature grants some credit on the employment rate in particular and at a certain level of growth economic in small welcoming economies. The conclusion to the absence of links, or at the limit to their negligible nature, between multinational firms and growth in small economies during the period under review and this, whatever the period of analysis may be, can be controversial. . More concretely, the indicator associated with FMNs is positive in the dynamic relationship, but negative in the static relationship. It goes without saying that MNCs contribute to the creation of long-term jobs, but at a very marginal rate. In the short term, there is a substitution of FDI for domestic investment and therefore an increase in the unemployment rate.

The project, entitled " Human rights of local communities violated on a daily basis by mining in the DRC (Case of Katanga Province)", on the impact of mining activities on the rights of local communities, reveals that mining companies in the DRC violate the human rights of local populations on a daily basis. Almost all the mining companies listed on the Chinese stock exchange are targeted. The project is based on several studies and publications. Overall, these mining companies have taken advantage of the weaknesses in the legal framework and the dysfunction of state institutions in the DRC. So this project we are presenting is not intended to condemn anyone, but rather to improve things in the industrial mining sector in Katanga province. In order to alleviate the suffering of local populations, this reflection will describe these victims as "those left behind by industrial mining", and will talk about actions to promote and protect the human rights of the Loushoise population, which are violated on a daily basis by the above-mentioned companies.

Within the primary treatment of wastewater, there are two interrelated processes: coagulation and flocculation; where the aim is to reduce the turbidity load, for which chemical additives called coagulants are used. The objective of this work was to determine the optimum doses and compare the turbidity removal efficiency and variation in pH level between a chemical coagulant aluminum sulfate and a biocoagulant obtained from tamarind remains. To evaluate the turbidity and pH parameters, the samples were subjected to the jar test to represent the coagulation and flocculation stages. Three replicates of the concentrations used were 5, 10 and 15 ml; for both treatments. The results obtained for turbidity removal were in favor of the chemical coagulant with a margin of 40% difference. As for pH variation, the biocoagulant showed a tendency towards neutralization. For Tamarindus indica reflects better performance with a dose of 10 ml, and for aluminum sulfate with an application of 15 ml.

In Brazil, family farming is strengthened by political organization through associations, cooperatives, and unions. These spaces function as a mechanism for the defense of social and cultural rights, and especially for the exercise of citizenship in the country, especially in traditional communities in the Amazon. The research was carried out in the Nazaré community with families who live off local agriculture. The Nazaré Community is a riverine community belonging to the region of Zé Açu, rural zone of the municipality of Parintins/AM. This book seeks to highlight the productive and touristic potential of the community, and how it has organized itself through associations and cooperatives to develop the region and access public policy and also point out the influence of churches in political organization in riverside communities.

This study presents the effects of climatic variability on yam production and yield in the commune of Léo, in southern Burkina Faso. It provides a meticulous analysis of changes in various climatic parameters, notably rainfall, temperature, wind, insolation, evaporation and relative humidity over the period from 1989 to 2018, as well as yam growers' perceptions of the variability of these different climatic parameters. At the same time, it also analyzes changes in yam production and yields over the same period. The study therefore identifies the direct and indirect effects of the variability of the above-mentioned climatic parameters on yam production and yield, and also shows how yam producers have developed adaptation strategies to mitigate the major adverse effects in order to improve yam production and yield, but also to ensure the sustainability of its crop, threatened with extinction in the face of climatic constraints.

This exploratory research describes the application of the Communities Advancing Resilience Toolkit (CART) to a sample of 95 participants contacted in 6 Muso, including 3 from Bushi and 3 from Buhavu. The overall aim of the study is to help improve knowledge of the current state of the Muso's contribution to the resilience of the target peoples. Its specific objectives are to - Determine the level of effectiveness of Muso as a factor in individual and community resilience; - Identify perceptions of changes attributable to Muso, in the light of the domains of the C.A.R.T. tool; - Discern the influence of demographic and economic variables on perceptions of the domains of resilience; - Recommend the most appropriate way of strengthening Muso so that it can play a more decisive role in building resilience.

Although companies are generally confronted with the practice or experience of recruitment, the fact remains that some of them manage to get the best out of the game through a better policy of staff acquisition and monitoring.

Terrorism, a veritable hydra of modern times, undoubtedly represents a fundamental challenge not only to the rule of law, but also to the international community as a whole. After the attacks on the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington on September 11, 2001, this real threat, with its devastating impact on human security and development, mobilized the States of the international community more than any other threat to international security. Today, the terrorist threat has become deterritorialized, internationalized and globalized, as has the fight against it. In a world of growing interdependence, no state can claim to be immune to such a threat. The Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime - Antonio Maria COSTA - confirms this trend when he declares that "today, terrorism knows no limits; it does not target a particular nationality", it respects no religion.

Objective: To establish a scientific basis for the antibacterial action of Solanum torvum Swartz (Solanaceae), a medicinal plant used in traditional medicine to treat bacterial infections. Methodology and results: Extracts from this plant were tested on the in vitro growth of strains of E. coli, K. pneumoniae and Salmonella sp in liquid and solid Mueller-Hinton media. The results showed that these extracts had a dose-dependent antibacterial activity on the bacterial strains used. However, the 100% acetone extract had better antibacterial potential on the E. coli strain (MIC = 6.25 mg/mL and BMC = 1.563 mg/mL) than on Salmonella sp (MIC = 3.125 mg/mL and BMC = 6.25 mg/mL) and K. pneumoniae (MIC = 6.25 mg/mL and BMC = 12.5 mg/mL). Conclusion and application of results: This extract can be used to develop phytomedicines against gastroenteritis caused by E. coli and Salmonella sp.
