Esenov)The given study tries to take into account the functional significance of myth in fiction in 1950-1980s on the basis of works of Central Asian writers. The work examines the poetics of myth and its genesis and evolution. The differentiation between myth and secondary phenomena of typological similarity is also done: a parable, a tale, a legend and a legend. The results and materials of the monograph expand the range of research on the study of myth poetics in literature and its functionality and interaction of myth and literature, the interaction and mutual influence of related ethnogenetic literatures of Central Asian peoples, their essence and specificity.
