The population needs social networks as a support to face life. From this point arises the caregiver who is in charge of satisfying both their basic needs and daily activities, as well as those of a person with a disability or dependency. In most cases these are known as informal caregivers as they are people without specialization in such care, usually the closest family member. The family members in charge of providing care and attention to people with disabilities play a fundamental role in the well-being and improvement of their quality of life, for this reason it is of vital importance to keep in mind the dependency system between the person with disabilities and the caregiver, this means that if the caregiver is in a good physical, psychological and social state, he/she can provide quality attention and care to the family member with disabilities, for this reason it is essential to attend first to the needs of the caregiver so that he/she can meet the needs of the person being cared for.

In the context of the First Republic, intellectuals like Euclides da Cunha and military men like Marshal Cândido Rondon turned their eyes to the interior of Brazil. In republican schools, children learned geography from teaching programmes, textbooks and children's magazines. How do the representations of the territory produced in these two spaces converge or diverge? This is the theme investigated in this book.

As part of the project "Pueblo Invisibles" we developed a first approach to the territoriality represented by the interior enclaves of the Department of Rocha, its characteristics; interactions; strengths; weaknesses; opportunities and threats. From the "hard" science, obtaining data from various sources such as INE, PROBIDES, IDR among others, being these corroborated and rectified through field visits, where several dialogues and interviews with local actors of the most different areas were achieved, allowed us to establish a first propositional approach that refers to local development through education as a "motor" of growth taking advantage of the synergy generated by the triangle identity - history - trade, being the product of this in its minimum expression the grain of rice as it is for the human body a cell. In this article we will detail the result of the study on the city of Lascano defined in Capital, Rice, Landscape, Heritage, Development.

The topic "spelling" is recurrent in high school students but complex to approach. Its treatment requires a certain conception of how to handle correct writing, that is, to deal with the subject from an encyclopedic position or from an accompaniment to the construction of knowledge of the rules and general laws of spelling, strengthening the spelling doubt and generating interest in good writing. The use of computer tools to encourage research in high school students and, consequently, to go through a meaningful learning process, was the trigger to motivate tertiary level students. It was directed towards the objective of promoting a critical attitude towards the socio-graphematic reality and how it could be approached, from the technological creativity, a work where the student is the actor of his own learning. The agreement was to organize a project involving research, technology and pedagogy, thus projecting meaningful learning.

Islam and philosophy seeks to offer readers an objective vision of Islamic thought, both theological and philosophical, and in particular the contributions of classical thinkers such as Ibn Khaldun and Averroes. It also provides a critique of the Eurocentric view of the world and of history in order to reinsert the contributions of other cultures to universal civilisation. The majority of Western production, both in history books and in philosophical thought, has a timeline that begins with classical Greece and imperial Rome and continues with medieval Europe, the Renaissance and the modern world, leaving out, in most cases, non-European thought. Today's civilisation is the result of the combined contributions of all the Chinese, Indian, Islamic, etc. cultures.

There is a consensus that reading is an important element in the teaching process. This can be inferred both from the attention that some public education policies pay to the subject and from the ideas of educational thinkers who are considered references in the study of pedagogical practices to encourage reading. Against this backdrop, the motivation to investigate how literary mashups - narratives constructed from literary classics, taken as source texts - were produced emerged, as they were works that were part of the students' free reading, brought by them into the classroom, provoking curiosity and encouraging others. In this sense, the research is orientated around questions that seek to produce a debate on the importance of pedagogical action that takes into account the voices and knowledge of young people, crossed by the social practices of their time: can it be productive to take advantage, in Literature classes, of the reading that students do outside of school? What is the dialogue like between the language of the classic and that of the mashup? What is the relevance of literary mashups in school reading activities?

Human societies have distinctive features compared with other species in the animal kingdom, such as the curiosity they display about their past events, the need to know about their origins or the questions linked to their origins. Answers to these questions come in a wide variety of forms, from religion to the exploration of collective memory. This last question is the starting point for an approach that will give rise to a discipline that has taken shape in the twenty-first century in Africa in general and in the DRC in particular, which has seen much destruction with its upheavals in the landscape. In this book, the author invites readers to use the theory of EMDR. In Africa, the practice of EMDR is much more recent. EMDR research into trauma reduction on our continent is still underdeveloped. The research carried out so far only concerns part of the continent.

This project was carried out in an Insertion Community, which takes in children and their parents, with the aim of understanding the day-to-day work of this institution. This project aims to get to know these young mothers and the reasons that led to their institutionalization, the difficulties for future autonomy and also the work carried out by the teams at this institution to promote the development of skills for these young women and their children. In view of the difficulties related to the lack of life skills of these young women, for a transition from institutional life to autonomous life, this work aims to enhance the development of skills for the life project of young women in this context.The project was planned to last one year, and at the beginning it was an internship, but unfortunately with the pandemic, we had to change the modality to Project Work, thus conceived with the purpose of working on the difficulties of developing the skills of young people. we present an action plan to be implemented in the work of the teams with this public.

Between the silence of the Páramo and the fury of the Compson makes a comparative study of the works of two great authors: Juan Rulfo and William Faulkner, the author's purpose is not to compare in order to say that one author is better than the other, but to show that in all literature there are communicating vessels that give rise to similarities in works that were written from different places of enunciation and different times. The chapters study the works from the point of view of their own society and language, as well as the characters and the structure of the two novels.

Chia (Salvia hispanica L.) is a seed native to southern Mexico and northern Guatemala. Chia, along with corn, beans and amaranth, were important crops for the pre-Columbian civilizations of America, but nowadays it has regained food interest for its high nutritional value, as it is a source of Omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, antioxidants and soluble and insoluble fibers. Chia, like other grains, must be stored to be used when needed. But it has been proven that poor storage of grains and seeds leads to a gradual deterioration and loss of sanitary, food and agricultural quality. The loss of nutritional quality caused by poor storage has been investigated in other grains such as beans and amaranth, but has not been studied in the case of chia. That is why, in this work we propose to study the effect of inadequate storage of chia seed on its nutritional quality.

Populations affected by armed conflict and other emergency situations experience severe public health consequences, caused by displaced populations, food insecurity, collapse of health services, etc. All this leads to an increased risk of epidemics. Communicable diseases alone or together with malnutrition represent the major cause of death in complex emergencies. The most common are diarrhoeal diseases, measles and malaria. There are numerous risk factors common to most of them and more specific ones that increase the incidence, duration and severity of outbreaks. To avoid them, it is necessary to take a series of preventive measures, as well as to know how to act once the first cases have been detected. Depending on the country, the type of complex emergency and how the health services have acted, the consequences and the impact on the number of deaths and cases will vary.

One of the challenges faced in the evaluation of patients diagnosed with cleft lip and palate is the lack of clinical practice guidelines that standardize diagnostic and therapeutic criteria prior to presurgical treatment, creating an area of opportunity for the review and design of tools to optimize the clinical evaluation. The present work shows the comparative analysis of the author Percy Rossell Percy, Friede and the lateral segment angulation for the evaluation of Nasolabiopalatine cleft for the improvement of the asymmetry of the alveolar processes.

This book deals with representations of black people in contemporary children's literature, considering some readings from the National School Library Programme (PNBE) collection in 2013 and aims to deepen knowledge on the subject, addressing Afro-descendant ethnic diversity as a contribution to Brazilian culture. The corpus of the research included ten children's literature books from the 2013 PNBE collection, aimed at primary school students. The selection of these works primarily considered those that deal with ethnic-racial themes, especially with regard to Africanness and blackness. Based on authors such as Stuart Hall, Kabengele Munanga, Nilma Lino Gomes and Manuel Jacinto Sarmento, who deal with the concepts of culture, identity, difference, blackness and childhood, the aforementioned works were analysed, which highlighted the importance of literature for the construction of identity and the cultural appreciation of black people, as well as its formative and educational nature for the exercise of citizenship and coexistence with diversity.

After many years of press and publication activities and years of IT-supported networking, we would like to take a look back and forward. It goes without saying that ongoing consideration must be given to media work.Digitalization is used to describe learning-teaching-lifeworld and cultural diversity. The selection and arrangement of the thematic blocks are the result of professional socialization and personal focus, which result from the respective interest and work situations. The basis of the state of knowledge is media studies, practical journalism, the connection between media and politics as political education, IT network management and media education. Until the 1990s, the conditions of a modern media society were treated rather casually. The book is intended as a summary of personal public relations work in the press, networking and publishing activities.

The objective of this work is to determine, through the questionnaire of learning strategies CEVEAPEU and the questionnaire of teaching styles CEE of the professors and students of the public accounting program of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Headquarters - Monteria. A research of cognitive approach of transversal descriptive type was carried out, finding among the professors the functional teaching style as the one with the highest preference and that the learning strategies of the students are diverse and without a dominant preference, highlighting the external attribution strategies as the least present.

The theme of this paper: a philosophical reflection on pedagogical practice, training and subjectivity, implies a problem to be constructed. By this we mean that the object of the topic will be configured and defined on the basis of a specifically philosophical questioning. In this sense, the general objective of this thesis aims to philosophically investigate the categories of "practice", "training" and "subjectivity" in relation to the subjects that are configured within pedagogical practices -particularly those who become educators or pedagogues-. The rationale of the proposed topic lies in the fact that it is considered necessary, as a critical starting point, to undertake a theoretical work that articulates philosophical reflection and pedagogical theorisation, in order to have tools that allow us to face the current challenges in education; challenges that commit us to try new problematisations and practices.

The continuous change in consumer preferences makes it necessary for companies to innovate first in their processes in order to develop. To do so, it is necessary to clarify the forms of investment with a view to boosting their capacity to manage knowledge, where the primary role is the participation of human capital, identified as the set of knowledge and skills.

The central theme of this research is the analysis of the metaphor of the gaze in the female characters in the narratives of the Puerto Rican writer Olga Nolla and the Mexican writer Ángeles Mastretta. As a theoretical framework, the theory of psychoanalysis by Jaques Lacan and feminist criticism by Simone de Beauvoir have been taken into consideration in order to address the representation of female characters, their subversion and patriarchal culture in the works El manuscrito de Miramar by Nolla, Mujeres de ojos grandes and Maridos by Mastretta. The selected works share common elements that manifest the presence of the main theme we have pointed out.

Relations between Brazil and Portugal have been characterized, over the last two centuries, by moments of great proximity in economic, political and cultural terms, interspersed with periods in which the adoption of divergent concepts and ideologies caused a relative distance between the two countries. This book falls within the scope of Portuguese-Brazilian relations and aims to deepen the study of the repercussions of the Brazilian Estado Novo in Portugal and identify the effectiveness of political propaganda, the means and strategies used to disseminate it (press, radio, cinema), as well as the role played by the authorities of both countries in this process and assess the level of dissemination and impact of news about Brazil among the colony of Brazilians existing in Portugal at the time.

The increase in life expectancy at birth, the prolongation of geriatric age and cognitive problems have physical and mental disability processes in common, without these being characteristic of ageing; however, they constitute a challenge for the neurosciences to achieve preventive actions from early stages of life, and thus a healthy and happy life stage. The new paradigms of neurosciences lead us to think that the conceptualisation must be regularly reviewed in the concrete historical context and its analysis must be crossed by the new scientific advances in the subject of dementias vs. major or minor cognitive disorder, as well as the evolutionary construct of cognitive impairment, within the framework of ageing.

Hemorrhoids are a disease that generates a great deal of concern and discomfort in those who suffer from them. According to recent international studies, hemorrhoids or piles, as they are called by both terms, are suffered by about half of the adult population of the planet. The subject is of great interest for a population that, like the Cuban one, reaches life expectancy of more than 75 years and the use of this rubber band ligation method would be another alternative treatment for this type of pathology. Ligation of hemorrhoids with rubber bands is a safe and effective method. This technique offers great social and economic advantages for the patient and the institution.

Migration, understood as a process of acculturation, multiculturalism and interculturalism, implies asymmetrical relations between groups. This is so because migratory flows, according to the sociopolitical approach, seek to reestablish occupational rather than economic flows. In this sense, labor moves from emerging countries to developed economies on the basis of sociopolitical guidelines that legitimize the State's steering role in security, migration and employment.

Eating Disorders are mental disorders characterized by a pathological behavior towards food intake and an obsession for weight control. Most of them have a multifactorial origin, which includes biological, psychological, sociocultural and family factors. On the other hand, recent studies mention that for every man there can be up to ten women suffering from these diseases, and only less than ten percent of affected adolescents are in treatment. For this reason, there is a need for more participation of health professionals, more health promotion, evaluation of preventive strategies, as well as optimization and implementation of improvements in prevention strategies.

Comparative literature and mythocriticism are used to bring Greek tragedy closer to Malian theater. The analysis of Antigone and Une hyène à jeun focuses on the significance of transgressions between the individual and authority. Each play presents two royal tragedies: that of Thebes, embodied by the Labdacides, and that of Wassoulou, embodied by the Tourés. In their dramatic progression, we discover the confrontation between tragic characters whose family relationships lead them to commit deviant acts against each other. Hence the transgressive, defiant or treacherous character. The latter has to contend with the justice system, which is charged with punishing him. So, whether guilty or victim, vigilante or executioner, the tragic hero is dominated by hybris, the inordinate pride that always leads him from transgression to death. The tragedies of Sophocles and Massa Makan Diabaté end in a clash of individualities, with the opposition between the sense of duty and the love of power. These mythical figures of resistance and authoritarianism are chained together in a conflict that ends in tragedy.

Due to the biodiversity of Ecuador, natural fibers would be a great contribution to the manufacture of mechanical parts as composite materials, but they have not been characterized. With the Mocora fiber we started its characterization, taking measurements, thermogravimetric analysis, industrial inspection microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, determination of moisture absorption, determination of its physical properties by ASTM standards and observation of the reaction of the fiber to the resin. In order to generate the composite material, the volume fraction and orientation of the fiber are defined, thus, by means of ASTM standards, the specimens and mechanical tests are carried out, taking advantage of the destructive tests, an analysis of inspection microscopy at breakage is performed. With the results obtained it can be observed that the natural fiber has different sizes and different thicknesses in several zones, has a marked 90º orientation, an average humidity absorption of 61%, has a good thermal resistance, low tensile strength, high elasticity when braided.

Workers in public and private companies are exposed to dynamic changes due to different lifestyles (globalization), greater demands (workload) and demands that lead to states of stress and insecurity in the world. Latin American studies on Burnout Syndrome carried out in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, are a voice of alarm for the labor system and especially for the educational system that has been affecting mental health expressed in diseases such as stress, depression, neurosis and a variety of psychosomatic diseases diagnosed and perceived (gastritis, ulcers, irritable colon, among others).

Public administrations are central to the functioning of contemporary African states. Based on the Weberian model, their daily deployment is reflected in dysfunctional inflation, the explanation of which generally places a central role on environmental influences. These dysfunctions are due either to the impact of cultural constraints, or to their instrumentalization by politicians.However, as free and rational actors, public agents develop strategies based on these environmental influences. These games lead to the deployment of governance by imposture, in which managers of public utilities are reduced to mimicking the gestures and appearances corresponding to their functions. This type of governance generates multiple reactions that call for a reinvention of the utilities management system, at the antipodes of decentralization as it is currently conceived.

This work is part of a reflection on the politico-social and economic confusion that has plagued the Democratic Republic of Congo from 1996 to the present day, totaling nearly 30 years of political deadlock. This vast state in central Africa, condemned to incessant war and conflict, is a victim of its natural resources. Every now and then, we see the aggressive methods of balkanization through the various wars of aggression waged by neighboring countries and armed groups on Congolese territory, each claiming portions of land in full view of the international community. Who are the real sponsors of all these wars in the DRC?The book shows that there is no longer any doubt: this is indeed a geopolitical plot against the DRC. The veil has fallen! No justice, no sanctions, the people have been abandoned to their own fate; everything has been consigned to oblivion. But the people must liberate themselves at all costs, and patriotic education is a strategic tool for doing so, so that the people alone can rid themselves of this atrocious suffering.

The monograph is devoted to the consideration of the physicochemical and technological foundations for the production of new types of urea-containing NPK and NPKS fertilizers. Information about the state and current trends in the development of the raw material base, new forms and technologies for producing phosphorus-containing complex mineral fertilizers is systematized. New scientific data are presented regarding the physicochemical features of the acid decomposition of various types of phosphate raw materials and their rheological properties depending on the composition and conditions of introduction of the starting components. Chemical and physicochemical transformations at individual stages of the technological process, as well as the chemical and mineralogical composition of products in accordance with international REACH requirements are considered. Information is provided on the production features when using various types of phosphate raw materials and their impact on the main technical and economic indicators.
