This book, in its lines, tries to produce an approach to the topic of Resilience that invites reflection and constitutes a significant contribution in the educational field, describing how the school and, particularly teachers, favor the development of this capacity in students, generating new possibilities to solve the multiple and complex situations that the context presents them.Seeking to provide theoretical references on the binomial: education and resilience, at the beginning of the writing resilience is defined and described as the capacity of the human being that allows him to face adversities. It is known from neurosciences that, in resilient individuals, constitutional, biological and genetic variables interact with environmental variables and learned behaviors to solve certain adverse situations, avoiding or preventing a disorder. It is from this central idea that in the subsequent development of the text, the factors that promote resilience in students are described. A particular educational institution is investigated and observed, which applies and promotes these factors in daily teaching.

Our study focused on evaluating the physico-chemical and bacteriological properties of drinking water in the city of Bouira, in order to define its quality. As part of our study, analyses were carried out on four samples, specifying the physico-chemical parameters (pH, T°, cond, sal, Tds, etc.) and looking for any germs that might be present: total germs, total coliforms, faecal coliforms, faecal streptococci and sulphite-reducing Clostridium. The results showed that the physico-chemical and bacteriological analyses were of good quality and transferred the potability criteria with reference to national standards and World Health Organization guidelines. Given the absence of pathogenic germs resulting from faecal contamination. This has led us to consider the drinking water in the city of Bouira to be of very good quality.

This book focuses on the diagnosis, management and prognosis of the different fetal intracranial malformations, seeking to facilitate routine clinical practice.

In order to have a more competitive country, in 2013 the government started with the execution of the fourth generation (4G) road infrastructure program, which has more than 40 new road concessions, 8000 km of roads, with more than 1200 km in dual carriageway and an investment of $ 47 billion pesos (Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura, 2014). The main benefit expected from this project is the reduction of travel times between cities.Despite the fact that the economic benefit of road concessions has not been the best and the income received has not compensated the investments. To continue with the development of road infrastructure in Colombia, road concessions have become the way forward, generating a GDP impact of 1.5% during the construction years and 4.6 to 5.3% in the long term, as well as a reduction in the unemployment rate of 1%.

The historical hegemony of the English language has plagued the language of health professionals in countries where other languages -including Spanish- are spoken with many improprieties, foreign words and incorrect translations. In addition to this, there is insufficient language training in pre-university and university education, as well as a shortage of time for these professionals to consult non-professional literature. Hence, the objective of the authors of the book has been to show the recurrent use of Anglicisms in the oral and written communication of health professionals. This means a necessary proposal towards the reflection of the exposed situation, besides constituting another action directed to the communicative improvement of all Spanish speakers.

Originally, the purpose of the green economy was to open a political space for a deeper discussion to take place. Officially accepted by the authorities as a crisis that posed a major threat to public health, the pandemic caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus produced a deep paralysis in the world economy and, in particular, in Brazil. For the Paula Souza Center, the challenges were on the agenda and with the urgency required by the dramatic nature of the unusual situation. Because, with the decree of horizontal confinement by the São Paulo authorities, face-to-face classes had to be suspended and replaced by remote ones.Without a shadow of a doubt, we can say that 2020 and 2021 were two long years of unlimited effort and intense learning on our part. We overcame all the difficulties and managed to deliver remote classes to our entire student body, without losing the quality of teaching.The reader can see the crossroads we faced at the beginning of 2022, with the resumption of face-to-face teaching activities. We also suspected that the two long years of pandemic confinement had caused economic, social and pedagogical consequences for our student body.

In this research, a descriptive-interpretative survey study was undertaken using correlation-based analysis techniques. Physical Activity (PA) involves all the body movements that a person can perform throughout the day. The concept of PA encompasses Physical Exercise (PE) and to some extent sport (since they are still body movements, only in different dimensions). The general objective of the research was to describe the Body Composition and Physical Activity Levels of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing students, using a methodology in Health Sciences, through the context of Epidemiological Studies, being a cross-sectional, descriptive and observational study. A total of 102 nursing students from different semesters were studied. The Levels of Physical Activity (NAF) were measured with the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), and body composition through electrical bioimpedance with the TANITA BC-585F FitScan. This research is a synthesis of contemporary Venezuela through the life of our character Juvencio Pulgar, a political leader born in the state of Zulia at a historical moment that marks the beginning of oil exploitation. He lived through the dictatorship of Pérez Jiménez, experienced exile and on his return to his homeland continued his education in the classrooms of the Central University of Venezuela, where he projected his ideas and became part of the country's political arena.

Domestic violence affects at increasing levels the physical, psychological, emotional and social health of those who suffer it.Objective: to develop a proposal for psychoeducational intervention to modify behaviors of domestic violence.Methodology: a qualitative research was conducted, the population consisted of 40 dysfunctional families with the presence of domestic violence. A sample of 14 families was selected. The following techniques were used to obtain the data: family interview, key informant interview, family functioning perception test (FF-SIL), participant observation, family drawing and in-depth interview with adult members. The diagnosis of the families made it possible to identify the prevalence of psychological violence in the families, the existence of inadequate communication and educational styles, and a higher incidence of violence in children, adolescents and older adults, which made it possible to prepare the psychoeducational intervention proposal to modify behaviors of intra-family violence. The psychological intervention proposal was elaborated and assessed by the professional judgment at 100%.

In the professional practice of Social Psychology, the field of Public Health takes on special relevance because it is the social workers, through the social services of Public Health, who will determine the prevention of diseases, the promotion of Public Health, adherence to treatment, follow-up and channelling of the vulnerable, excluded or marginalised population that leads the number of deaths due to diseases related to poverty and unemployment. In our experience, social diagnosis and socio-economic studies are tools par excellence for the establishment of preventive and public health promotion networks.

Reading and writing are processes that are developed from the early stages of formal education, shaping literate individuals, the sense of the plans and programs of the basic level, as well as the upper secondary and higher levels, is that students improve their reading and writing habits.In this paper we consider the need to develop strategies that help university students to foster professional maturity through critical reading as a potential factor in academic writing. The difference that exists between writing and academic writing is highlighted, the latter as an intellectual exercise that manages metacognitive processes in the writer.

At the outset, it is agreed that within the framework of Sustainable Development, Social Work has established areas and fields of intervention around which social services have been developed, mainly those related to water care with respect to quality of life and subjective wellbeing, determinants of the evaluation of public policies, environmental programmes and strategies of attention to migrant communities. In this scheme, Environmental Social Work acts as a mediator of supply policies and civil demands, considering the limitations of space, time and infrastructure, but the generality of its dimensions, categories and variables inhibit the analysis of the subjectivity inherent in the objective indicators of sustainability. It is therefore necessary to delve deeper into the psychological, cognitive and behavioural dimension in order to establish individual or community needs, expectations, demands and capacities in the face of environmental crises and water shortages.

The present research is justified by considering the need for maintenance in this type of machinery, because without a versatile methodology for its sustainability, based on modern maintenance techniques, these could considerably impair the operation. From a theoretical perspective, this study is justified because it will allow us to investigate the different theoretical outlines that will explain the different failures in this type of machinery and could be of great help as reference material at the moment of resolving breakdowns in this type of equipment or, failing that, to optimise them.

Environmental policy is the set of activities and procedures by which different levels of competence and organisation of the state or of business and non-governmental organisations seek to protect the environment and conserve nature, adopted and adapted by governments that are signatories to international agreements. The national environmental policy landscape has evolved from a linear, sectoral approach to provide specific services in the short or medium term, often depending on electoral cycles. This type of response is not always the most appropriate to address the complex and multi-sectoral challenges of sustainable development, whose time horizon spans generations and requires a sustained commitment beyond the 6 years of a governmental term. SD requires a three-pronged approach focusing on environment, economy and society, which goes against the traditional way of policy formulation and development. Chagas disease is endemic to tropical-rural areas and has become a public health problem in Latin America (from Patagonia to the southern United States). The World Health Organization estimates that 17 million people are infected and 100 million more are at risk of infection. Considering the routes of transmission, it has spread to non-endemic regions of Europe and the United States. The chronic phase of the disease has an average duration of 15 years and there are no appropriate drugs or vaccines available to treat it; during this period those infected develop stroke and neurological disorders, as well as severe inflammation in their intestines, esophagus and heart, the latter being the cause of highest mortality. Bearing in mind the scarce knowledge of the dynamics of the disease dispersion, a study of the dispersion in humans was carried out in a non-endemic area of Colombia. The computational technique "Cellular Automata" was implemented to predict the number of infected people and their geographical distribution in the study region, taking into account the sexual, congenital and transfusion transmission routes.

The study is based on the importance of including parents in the process of vocational orientation of their children by the school, since it is a very important and not easy decision in the life of any adolescent, so they must have the greatest support from those around them, i.e. family and school.

Rabbit meat has been traditionally consumed by Venezuelan farmers and has gradually been incorporated into the nutritional culture of the rest of the population. Rabbit meat production systems do not escape from directing approximately 70% of the expenses in rabbit feeding. In the present research, we seek to evaluate the partial substitution of industrial mixture by Canavalia (Cannavalia ensiformis) foliage and its effect on the productive indicators of fattening rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) of mestizo breeds. Behavioral tests such as green matter consumption and selectivity were applied to determine the animals' preference to consume green canavalia foliage (FC). For the statistical analysis, the GLM procedure of SAS and Tukey's test for carcass yield were used. Four treatments were established: T1 (positive control) with 100% concentrated feed of the commercial brand Galope for horses; T2 with 70% AC and 30% FC; T3 50% AC and 50% FC; and T4 (negative control) 100% FC. A significant difference was observed in the final weight of the rabbits of T3 and T4.
