The main proposal of this research is the development of predictive models, based on input variables (sociodemographic) and academic variables for the identification of students at risk of failing mathematics subjects. In INACAP, mathematics subjects have a failure rate of close to 40% in the last 4 years, and as a consequence of this figure, student desertion increases. This study considers three mathematics I subjects (MTAN02, MTES01 and MTIN01) that are equivalent in terms of their contents, are present in various careers and have national coverage. One of the important issues to be addressed is the development of an "early warning" system for those students at risk of failing, with the aim of providing tools and support to reduce this risk in a timely manner, the academic variable considered key is "grade 1", this variable in conjunction with student characterization variables allows the estimation of the risk of failing and at the same time manage the student's academic support.

This work is aimed at workers and others who in some way have felt morally harassed due to disagreements with their employer, who uses this mechanism to force them to resign from their job voluntarily and thus avoid paying compensation for untimely dismissal, even taking advantage of the occasion to avoid paying considerable sums of money to the worker who apparently resigns freely and voluntarily from his job, as a mechanism to escape the Moral Harassment inflicted against him by the employer or those who act in his stead.

How do we think about citizen participation from our role as public/political managers? Do we give participation the relevance it requires? Do we understand that networking, institutional articulation, transversality of actions, are the essence in the cities of the future? If we want our democracies to be strengthened, if we want the populations to assume the protagonism that we ask of them, going from being simple voters to being citizens who are part of and doers of their communities, we must consider participatory tools and methodologies. The Triennial Participatory Plan stands as a very good option, which requires adjustments and improvements, but which should not fail to be read and considered by any consultant, manager, student or neighbor.

Disinfection in animal farms represents an inseparable part of any zoohygienic program, since it constitutes, within disease prevention plans, one of the irreplaceable pillars. This is very important, since disinfection alone should not be seen as the solution to all infectious problems in animal husbandry enterprises, but as an integral part of the hygienic measures aimed at keeping the environment sanitary and thus contributing to the maintenance of the animals' health.

The studies analyzed on the agro-productive mechanisms implemented in Central America indicate that they have resulted in the incorporation to sustainable management and conservation of more than 870,000 ha. of forest, the favoring of more than 2.8 million agro-producers and the development of more than 65 public policy instruments (strategies, policies, plans, programs, projects, laws, new institutions). Several studies around the world show that the articulation of the identified agro-productive mechanisms has positive effects, either compensatory (resilience) or mitigating (reducing vulnerability), in the face of adverse climate effects. However, we must strengthen the articulation of synergies and promote agro-productive mechanisms in an appropriate, sufficient and relevant manner.

Communication difficulties between hearing-impaired patients and healthcare professionals are a serious risk factor for adequate care and conclude with the need to increase healthcare resources for this group. The main objective of this study is to assess the perception of the health care received in health centres by people with hearing impairment. To this end, a qualitative study was carried out by means of semi-structured interviews with people with this disability living in the Community of Madrid. The results obtained show that communication difficulties continue to be a challenge today. The participants' experience of health care is often associated with situations of discomfort and incomprehension on the part of the primary care team. In general, health professionals do not have sufficient knowledge in communicating with these patients, so there is a demand for more trained human resources, as well as an improvement and adaptation of health structures, to facilitate communication with deaf people.

Tuberculosis is the second leading cause of death from infectious diseases in the world. The specific targets set in the End TB Strategy are to reduce mortality by 95% and incidence by 90% by 2035 compared to 2015. The objectives of this study were to characterise the event and identify the diagnostic tools used. This study is a descriptive analysis of surveillance using case definitions from the bacteriologically and clinically confirmed case protocol. For confirmation, smear microscopy, culture, GeneXpert and pathology were used. A treatment and follow-up book and data from the Management Information System (SIGSA 18 and SIGSA WEB) were reviewed, and Excel was used to calculate cumulative incidence per 100,000 population (using the population at risk by the programme) and measures of central tendency and dispersion.

This work is one of the results obtained from the institutional project "Information management system for the egg production chain", led by the University of Granma. The study was aimed at proposing a procedure for the determination and evaluation of quality costs in the Granma Poultry Enterprise. The application of this procedure made it possible to identify quality and non-quality costs in the egg production chain, to establish improvement processes from layer replacements to layers and to use these criteria for timely and effective decision-making. These results contribute to improving the economic, productive and financial indicators of the entity in order to comply with the economic and social policy guidelines of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Revolution, mainly those related to the improvement of business activity. Likewise, the work corresponds to the guidelines for the contextualisation of the economic and social model of socialist development planned until 2030.

Since the end of the 19th century, scientists have detected a series of changes in the climate that cannot be attributed solely to natural dynamics, but which respond to anthropogenic alterations. These have catalysed changes, such as the increase in global average temperature, the loss of ice masses, alterations in precipitation regimes, and the greater incidence and intensity of socio-natural disasters, among others. In the face of this, new and complex threats are activated due to their transversality and uncertain nature. Given the characteristics of Chile, it is imperative to have Armed Forces and Law Enforcement in constant transformation, adaptation and preparation, which allow to maintain the response capabilities of the force, means and equipment. This work is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students, civilians or members of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement and Public Security, with an interest in Climate Change, socio-natural disasters, emergency response and humanitarian aid delivery.

The all-out emergence of islands of instability in NORTH KIVU is not a coincidence. It is closely linked to the non-State context and the desire for strategic resources that this province contains. The activism of warlords would be linked to the geopolitical and geoeconomic gains represented by the control of certain localities in this province, their access to mining areas, their control over strategic resources and the chain of their mafia evacuation on the international market. This evidence pushed us to investigate the geostrategic position occupied by this province at the heart of leadership wars and to propose conflict management materialized by the managerial pentagon of armed conflict resolution. Five focal areas are targeted, namely political, economic, diplomatic, security and administrative. This arsenal of strategies constitutes a bouquet of oxygen to restore State authority and lasting peace in North Kivu.

This text seeks to estimate the indirect effect of the Bono de Desarrollo Humano (BDH) on income generation in Ecuador, that is, it seeks to analyse the behaviour of BDH beneficiaries in the labour market. Therefore, an econometric model was constructed in two stages. The first model corresponds to a Probit model that seeks to estimate the probability of the household to participate in the labour market, and for the second model an OLS model is used to estimate the labour effort in terms of hours worked.

The present research has its origin with two important facts: the creation of the National Reference Laboratory of Pathogenic Neisserias in Cuba and its participation in the reports made by the Surveillance Program of Gonocococcal Susceptibility to Antimicrobials in the Americas and the Caribbean, allowing the identification, through the use of contemporary molecular markers, of the main group of transmission of gonocococcal infection by strains with high level of resistance to antibiotics recommended by the National Health Program of Cuba at that time. This study helped to consider new alternatives in the treatment of gonorrhea as a first option. Its results have been published in international impact magazines such as Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Sexually Transmitted Infection; besides constituting 5 scientific achievements of the Pedro Kourí Institute and being awarded the National Prize of the Cuban Academy of Science.

Intraoperative freezing biopsy (frozen section, per-operative), is an indispensable method, of great help for the work of surgeons and perhaps the most important form of interconsultation with an anatomical pathology service, especially with patients with tumors, since it allows directing the treatment, facilitates the decision whether or not to continue a surgical procedure and avoids unnecessary mutilations, even with the patient in the operating room. Its main indications are to establish the presence and nature of a lesion by determining whether it is benign or malignant, to check whether the surgical margins are free or not of disease, to establish whether the tissue obtained is representative and viable in case the exact diagnosis cannot be made in the intraoperative biopsy, and thus to obtain additional samples of the same for a definitive diagnosis in kerosene sections. With the present study, an analysis is made of the experience of per-operative biopsies, performed in the General Surgery Service of the "Dr. Francisco Antonio Rísquez" Hospital, between January 1986 and December 2016, despite not having this intra-institutional possibility.

The aim of this study is to focus on the strategy of catching up and keeping girls in school through bridging classes in cocoa-producing communities, and then to show the impact of bridging classes on the policy of compulsory schooling. Our study shows that bridging classes are reliable and effective strategies for catching up children who left the system early and keeping girls in school. In fact, bridging classes make it possible to achieve and implement Côte d'Ivoire's compulsory schooling policy. Finally, our study enabled us to question the causes of the recurrent drop-out of children, especially girls.

Based on the possible harm caused by the therapeutic activity in health, it is also necessary to identify the different processes and tools that seek to generate symmetry between the rights and obligations that interact between the health professional and the patient from a legal point of view. The objective of this work was to develop a proposal for a model of expert care for the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences for each type of request, from the criminal, civil or administrative instances, which, from a health and justice approach, provides experts and in general the staff of judicial operators with a conceptual and technical approach to the legal processes arising from dissatisfaction in the provision of health services. The aim of this paper is to identify the most frequent failures in health care, using a multidisciplinary approach, not only to determine the legal consequences in the exercise of the profession, but also to review and analyse how the service is provided in accordance with the regulations of the Colombian social security health system.

The book consists of 3 parts a) introduction to digital marketing, b) introduction to e-commerce and c) introduction to mobile banking. The first part presents and discusses various aspects of digital marketing, including the concept of value, the convergence of industries and the business models it generates; and the transformation of the industry and describes the main changes. The second part focuses essentially on e-commerce and discusses its main concepts and, in the case of Mozambique and other African countries, discusses strategies for its popularisation and massification, highlighting the strategic role played by telephone and postal companies in Mozambique, Africa and the world. The last part discusses mobile banking and highlights the role of mobile banking initiated by mobile phone operators in financial inclusion. Digital marketing, as a marketing atmosphere, does not make human capital obsolete or change the mission of organisations, but is in itself an added value compared to the traditional way of doing things. This is the reason for the title "Digital Marketing and E-commerce: making life easier for people and organisations".
