In children treated with beta-lactam antibiotics (BL), the majority of presumed allergic reactions are not due to drug hypersensitivity (HS), but rather to infectious diseases. As a result, the oral provocation test (OPT) for LAB has found its place in 1st-line allergological investigation. The aim of our work was to describe the procedures for reintroduction testing with LAB and to demonstrate the contribution of oral provocation testing with LAB as a 1st-line test in the positive diagnosis of LAB allergy.

In this book, we believe that the study of homosexual themes is relevant to children's literature, because we believe that this audience has a capacity for acceptance that is far removed from the prejudices that surround society in general. In this context, we believe that the works analysed here are good examples for contextualising the representation of these homosexual configurations.

The purpose of this research work is to analyse the impacts of the start-up of the La Rotonda park on tourism and socio-economic activities in Portoviejo. In order to approach this research, we took as a reference framework the background of studies on the various impacts generated by parks immersed in a growing and developing society, as well as the conceptualisations of the types of parks that exist. For this purpose, research methodologies such as field studies and documentary research were used, applying information gathering techniques such as structured and unstructured interviews, obtaining relevant data for the elaboration of the results, which show that the Rotonda Park contributes to three important aspects such as social, economic and tourism development. The modernisation of this recreational space brings with it a considerable decrease in crime in the area, thus generating well-being for the people who live in the area of influence of La Rotonda Park.

Recently, the role of biological control as a powerful alternative strategy to chemical control has been gaining in importance. Numerous biological control agents are used today to control scale pests worldwide, among which the Coccinellidae are the most represented, numbering some 4,200 species, 90% of which are considered beneficial predators. Most ladybug predators are generalists, and their relationship with their prey is not density-dependent (type II functional response). Although the effectiveness of generalist predators against pests is still largely unknown, they can play an essential role in low-infestation situations, when pest populations are scarce and specific natural enemies are lacking. In addition to climatic adaptation, many other factors can influence the success of beneficial organisms as predators in the field, such as prey density, temporary prey isolation, prey size, pesticides, intragroup predation, mutual interference and cannibalism.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is characterized by a progressive and irreversible decline in respiratory function. Thus, prognostic evaluation is an essential step in the management of these patients, based on predictive clinical and functional scores. We studied the value of pulmonary function tests (PFTs) in the prognostic evaluation of IPF. We conducted a study of 70 patients with a diagnosis of IPF. We found strong correlations between GAP and CPI scores and dyspnea, TM6 desaturation, six-minute walk distance and BODE index. These results confirm the sensitivity and reliability of the GAP index and CPI as prognostic scores designed specifically for IPF. Furthermore, the strong correlations found between the GAP index, the CPI and the BODE index confirm their clinico-functional complementarity and could justify the use of the BODE index in IPF.

This research focuses on analysing the international actions of the state of Mato Grosso (MT) based on the reality that it is one of the federation units that exports the most; due to the lack of bibliography analysing its external actions and the fact that it shares a border with Bolivia, a situation that provides for various exchanges of experiences. The aim is therefore to reflect on the existence of autonomy for a federal entity to draw up its external actions; how far this autonomy extends; and, from this perspective, how Mato Grosso positions itself in terms of its insertion into the international arena and how it goes about this quest.

The aim of this paper is to provide a text that can be of use to all schools of group psychotherapy, both in practice and in understanding. Emphasis is placed on technical language as well as tactical processes of group and individual change. Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy reflects the author's eclectic ideological background, from the underpinning Freudian theory and techniques to the influence of social psychology and the work of behavioural psychologists. Apart from allowing for a therapeutic modality that is expanding and becoming more complicated, the proposed work suggests a scientific basis for the method of group psychotherapy and a systematisation to facilitate the training of students in the Behavioural Sciences.

The use of medicinal plants in domestic animals has increased, both in productive animals and pets. It is common the use of plants by our farmers and urban breeders to cure their animals, who acquire knowledge that is transmitted to other people. It is necessary to gather all possible experience and the results of research that come into our possession to give them daily use. This compendium was prepared trying to gather information that can be useful to all people interested in knowing the therapeutic benefits of medicinal plants and use them in daily practice.

The three authors have a Master's Degree in Education and New Technologies from the Universidad a distancia de Madrid (UDIMA), Gamification and Transmedia narrative from IEBS. With extensive experience in instructional design, sites and blogs, social media management, courses on educational content management platforms, LMS and LCMS. Our professional objective is to consolidate ourselves as designers of educational and/or technological projects and ventures to introduce adults over 50 years old (50+) in ICT through gamification techniques.

This is a study that emphasises an important figure in the administration of Portuguese America in the eighteenth century, little observed by Luso-Brazilian historiography until then: the clerk. The research addresses the definition of the position of clerk; it analyses the rituals of the office required under the maxims of the Ancien Régime and the context in which it was inserted in Portugal and Portuguese America and, finally, it reflects on the role of these individuals in municipal bureaucracies and the administrative circumstances to which they were subject. In short, this research is an adventurous introduction, and an invitation to reflect, on a topic rich in possibilities that still lacks more in-depth historiographical research.

This term refers to values of interaction and social life, in the sense of paying a price differential charged by prestigious brands, and visuality is responsible for creating this added value, which is of an affective and emotional nature and originated by advertising. Advertising is also the subject of the study and is present due to the characteristics and objectives of its language, which are so important in a brand's campaigns with the aim of making the consumer want a product based on a set of visual elements that characterise that brand, linking them to a symbolic representation (logo). In this way, the book reflects on consumer desire not only for the product, but also for its power of signification.

Lung cancer is as old as man. Although the lungs are a frequent site of metastasis from cancers originating in extrathoracic organs.A prospective longitudinal descriptive observational study was carried out in the Pulmonology service of the Arnaldo Milian Castro Hospital in the period from October 2020 to October 2023. The study population was made up of all patients (110) diagnosed with this disease. Patients with lung cancer were diagnosed in 2020, female, white, retired, between 60 and 69 years old. Cough was the main symptom, with smoking being a risk factor for its presentation. Infiltrating poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma is more common.

Our end-of-study project therefore consists firstly in identifying the anomaly which has caused huge losses in lead, and secondly in studying all the parameters causing the increase in lead content of the slag.After a detailed study of the various factors influencing the loss of lead in the slag, it turned out that the element responsible for the anomaly was the one linked to the roasting temperature.

In making this reflection, I intend to introduce the theme of the reflective pastor and, to contribute in this direction, I offer a collection of texts that deal with the pastorate and leadership in general, based on the metaphors of the sheepfold and the corral, of the ministerial triad, as well as a reflection inspired by Rubem Alves' parable about the Country of the Fat Fingers. These metaphors unfold and continue the reflection and are not exhausted in themselves.

The book seeks to point out the construction of Truth in Civil Procedure, separating the material (real) Truth from the formal Truth, beginning the studies with the theories that guide Truth, to reinforce the relevance of the Hermeneutic theory and then attacking Truth as correspondence and as relativism. Combating the distorted conceptualisations of Truth that invade the sphere of Civil Procedural Law. For Formal Truth in Civil Procedure has been losing prominence and the trend towards Real (Material) Truth has been gaining strength, revealing an attachment to the inquisitorial system, which is present alongside arbitrary decisions endowed by the judge's instructional powers, which are broad and guided by the New CPC, not altering in such a way the ideological structure of the judge's free conviction, which is linked to the philosophy of conscience, something that is refuted in this work. Judges' investigative powers must be guided by a new system, called neo-inquisitorial, which limits the judge's powers, and the judge must be seen as a historian based on phenomenological hermeneutics, unveiling the truth through the facts and evidence in the case.

For more than 25 years, the so-called "LEADER Method" has been implemented in the European rural environment, with the aim of activating the economic development of the most disadvantaged rural areas and reducing their differences with respect to urban areas, based on the exploitation of endogenous resources and under the impulse and participation of the local population through projects co-financed by the Structural Funds and national administrations. Thus, in order to disseminate the effects of not so traditional development strategies in the way of managing public funds, as well as to demonstrate the possible influence, in the distribution of aid, of the economic, demographic and physical contexts existing in the benefactor rural territories, this book presents the construction of a geoportal created to publicize the results obtained with the "LEADER Method" in the Extremadura region. It will be possible to see how this type of technology makes possible a more rigorous evaluation of the territorial effects of the rural development policy by the local population and its agents and managers.

In the present work, the efficacy of different disinfectants (70 and 96° ethyl alcohol, 10% hydrogen peroxide and acetone) was determined by varying the contact time with the biological tissue (10 and 20 minutes) and thus being able to select the procedure or alternative that gives the best results in terms of the elimination of unwanted tissue remains as well as the elimination of microorganisms. As a result of the present work, it was obtained that 96° ethyl alcohol for 20 minutes is the treatment that gives the best results, achieving a reduction of 95.2 % of the total microorganisms present in the sample when the procedure was challenged against reference microorganisms. The efficiency of the proposed procedure was then checked by subjecting the osteochondral tissue to the treatment, achieving acceptable microbial count values after the treatment, since after seeding and subsequent incubation, no microbial growth was observed. Therefore, the use of 96° ethyl alcohol for 20 minutes is proposed as one of the possible alternatives for the cleaning and disinfection of bovine osteochondral tissue.

This research work developed under the title of "The Absence of the Error of Prohibition, in Relation to the Finalist Theory of the Action that Orientates the Foundation of the Ecuadorian Penal Legislation; and the Punitive Character of the Organic Integral Penal Code". This figure alludes to the lack of knowledge of the Antijuridicity, that is to say, it is the case of the subject who commits a crime and is unaware of the typification of this action. This research will be approached from the doctrinal study of the three theories of crime, causalist, finalist and functionalist with the elements of crime that each of the theories raises and defines; as well as delving into the error of prohibition, as is its correct application when it is invincible or beatable; given that the absence of this figure affects principles and procedural guarantees. In order to faithfully fulfil the objectives proposed in this research topic, we resorted to compiling legal and doctrinal bibliographical resources, as well as legislation from different countries in whose criminal codes the error of prohibition does appear and its application is regulated.

The issue of enforced tax collection in Cameroon is not new. It has always attracted the attention of doctrine and jurisprudence beyond the rules laid down by the tax legislator. This is why, in the context of our approach, we have identified a fundamental question: given the prerogatives of the tax authorities, can it be said that forced collection procedures, as laid down in tax legislation and implemented in practice, guarantee the development of the taxpayer? The answer to this question will enable us to discuss the practice of enforced tax collection, which has been reinforced by infringements, before going on to analyze the practice of enforced tax collection, which needs to be improved by the tax authorities and the taxpayer.

The Land and Agrarian Development Law (2010) sought to create a legal framework in Venezuela that would guarantee agri-food security. This initiative must be accompanied by managerial knowledge on the part of producers in order to ensure that agricultural estates fulfil their social function and that the land reaches the ideal yields established in the Law. In this sense, this research was carried out with the objective of proposing guidelines for agricultural land management that can be applied by producers and that allow them to respond to the productivity criteria required by the Law. To this end, the managing producers of 43 production units were interviewed by means of a questionnaire in which a characterisation of land management was carried out, as well as the determination of the levels of Ideal Yield and Real Yield by soil class, using descriptive statistics. The results showed deficiencies in the fulfilment of planning, organisation and control functions, but adequate management-execution indicators.

The need to support the Deaf community, generates the motivation to make this compilation of educational guidelines from different sources and contexts that aim to ensure the learning of sign language in babies, children, young people and adults who are Deaf. In this sense, the development of sign language requires the assumption of three highly relevant points. Firstly, the recognition of sign language as a natural language of Deaf people. The transformations that are needed imply not only a change of didactics, or the use of one or another language, or adaptations of the curriculum, but a legitimate process of paradigmatic change in the face of the experience of Deafness. Secondly, sign language should be assumed as a subject like mathematics, history or science and thirdly, its teaching should be oriented through the bilingual bicultural model (L1 Sign Language and L2 written Spanish).

The Order that exists in the Totality of relative existence is recreated from instant to instant by a frothy form of Cosmic Unified Consciousness through a constant flow of quantum information. It is the software of Creation, a Fifth Force that makes the other four possible: gravity, electromagnetism, electroweak force and electro-strong force. So God, in this physical aspect, or this Quantum Unified Field Consciousness, is an essence of physical and not immaterial existence. So it is always possible to make intelligent contact with it. The very life known on Earth developed its potential consciousness from this form of Cosmic Proto-Mind. The human brain possesses the capacity to communicate, interact and expand on the scale of this universal consciousness.

If we increase the charge of our inner prana, our meditations will be much more intense, and it will be easier for us to enter into the state of emptiness and silence of mind, where it is possible to attract God's blessing and dialogue with Him. Our prayers will contain the same thoughts and words, but they will be recharged with energy and will penetrate space and time and obtain the desired response. Our bodies are nourished by food, water, air and the sun, but it is through the medulla oblongata or "mouth of God" that it receives directly the cosmic energy which is distributed through the subtle channels or nadis throughout the body. Through concentration, breathing, willpower, tension and relaxation it is possible to conduct the prana to the various parts of the body and learn to accumulate it there to recharge those cells.

This work seeks to provide legal tools for the protection of the Ecclesial Cultural Heritage, with the aim of maintaining the purpose for which they were created, and rescuing and preserving their historical value. We start with an analysis of the value of these assets from Sacred Scripture and the history of the Church, arriving at the position of the Second Vatican Council and the Code of Canon Law. Tools are provided from Civil Law, International Law, Colombian Legislation and Canon Law in order to carry out an analysis of the factual situation of national ecclesiastical cultural property owned by the Colombian Catholic Church.

This study includes an approach to interdisciplinary diagnosis and intervention in paediatric patients with neuropsychiatric disorders. Interdisciplinary intervention is a combination of treatments from different disciplines that simultaneously address the patient's pathology in order to achieve a better adaptation to the environment in which the patient lives. This article describes the process of neuropsychological intervention in an interdisciplinary context, starting with the assessment, rehabilitation and reassessment of a paediatric patient diagnosed with childhood psychosis and reduction of the left amygdala-hippocampal complex using a single case methodology.

This book attempts to systematise the theoretical and legal foundations of one of the most controversial categories of administrative law, from its origins to its legal nature. The assumptions that make up the architecture of reformatio in peius are set out in two parts. The first is based on the general foundations that serve as a basis for the adequate organisation of administrative challenge procedures and as a basis for the adequate articulation of administrative appeals. In this scenario, an assessment is made not only of the content and scope of the legal category, but also of the principles of law with which its existence does not harmonise, in order to argue that the rule that should prevail is to prohibit practices of reforming the appellant's initial claim for the worse. The second part refers to an analysis of the presence of reformatio in peius in the Cuban legal system, from the 18th century to the present day, as well as the main implications it generates and the guidelines for its necessary improvement.
