This document describes the design of a sewerage and excreta treatment system for the community of Ardilla Urku in Napo, Ecuador, which lacks adequate sanitation infrastructure. The objective is to provide access to sanitation and ensure proper wastewater management. The design was based on information gathering and design standards, using a 20-year design period and EMAAP and INEN standards. For the design of the stormwater drainage system, the rational method was used to calculate the flow generated by the surface runoff of the drained area. A layer of contributing residential areas was generated and the area was calculated for each site using ArcGis software and satellite images. The results show that the proposed design is adequate to meet the needs of the community and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, in addition to protecting public health and the environment.

The subject of this book goes back to our research work entitled: Suicidal behaviour in adolescence: the perspective of guidance teachers. From the outset, this research sought to identify the components that defined this behaviour from an educational perspective, which is why the phenomenon of suicidal behaviour is mainly explained from three dimensions or categories: firstly, the concept, how it is defined, secondly, the factors related to the behaviour, and which factors are considered to be related to this problem, and finally, prevention, in relation to the knowledge that they possess regarding the precaution of this type of behaviour. Starting with a contextual tour where suicide is evidenced as a public health problem that affects the population worldwide, followed by a historical tour of six theoretical models where it is expressed in a summarized way those scientific theories that in some way tries to explain the phenomenon in question.

Huapalcalco (Wooden House in Nahuatl) is undoubtedly the most important archaeological site in the Tulancingo Valley, to the extent that it is considered to be the seat of the Toltecs prior to Tula. It has been continuously inhabited for more than 11,000 years, its first occupation dates back to the Cenolithic period, passing through all the following stages of Mexico's history up to the Late Postclassic period. It had its greatest peak during the Epiclassic period with the Toltec-Nonoalca occupation. It is in this area where we can get an approach to the origins of the rituals and mortuary practices with dogs and how these laid the foundations for the later creation of the mythical story of Xolotl, the twin brother of Quetzalcoatl (who according to archaeological evidence, Nahua oral traditions and colonial documentation, lived in this same site for 4 years before leaving for the founding of Tula). All this as a result of the characteristics and elements shared with a prehistoric burial that was located in the Cueva del Tecolote, composed of both humans and dogs, ancestors of the Xoloizcuintle known as "The Mesoamerican Dog".

This book allows us to see the constant struggle that the peoples of the Ecuadorian Amazon have had to suffer for their lands, as well as the Ecuadorian legislation has its axiological gaps which do not allow a solution to the analogous cases of environmental contamination. The present work has some examples of real cases that are still in process and that in spite of the guilt of other foreign entities, the Ecuadorian people have had to assume the expenses and losses of these processes.

Chile can be compared to a palimpsest on the territory of which history is written and memory is reclaimed. Some events are indelibly marked. Others are erased, but they do not disappear completely. A residue remains on which our artists observe, reflect and act. Most of them use the dynamic processes of image reproduction, the direct installation of objects, video, body action and the intervention of natural and urban spaces. The traditional artistic genres (painting and sculpture) seem to be locked in their own immobilising strategies. On the other hand, thanks to the accelerated transformations that have taken place in recent decades with the contribution of technological instruments, another art system has emerged, characterised by the mobility of its strategies and material resources, together with the breadth of its thematic fields. This scenario challenges museums to think of new museological conceptions and museographic designs to accommodate works that resist being hung on walls or placed on a pedestal.

The factories and/or companies recovered by their workers is an economic, social and political phenomenon that expanded in Argentina in the first years of the last decade, as a consequence of the crisis that the country went through in 2001. Hence, the main objective - analysing it today - of the workers who participated in the processes of "occupy, resist, produce", was the implementation of new forms and mechanisms of struggle to preserve the source of work. Consequently, this has led to a series of restructurings of the production processes, of the forms and means of organisation of the workers, as in the case of labour self-management. Thus, the backdrop of these experiences is the incessant struggle between capital and labour in the capitalist system; therefore, the general objective of the present thesis is to analyse the rearticulation of the capital-labour relation when living labour goes from being objectified in and for capital - alienated labour - to being objectified in and for itself - liberation of labour.

The current changes in universities require training to enable teachers to improve their methodological preparation. Research work was carried out on the regulations of the teaching process; the results of teaching controls during three courses and a sample of 20 practical exams identifying the points made; a survey of students to find out their criteria about the quality of the classes and a review of the theoretical trends in methodological preparation. The strategy consists of: 1) methodological guide on education at work; 2) diploma course on teaching clinical propaedeutics and 3) preparation and application of practical examination observation guides. The results were favourably evaluated in a methodological workshop. The book is aimed at medical teachers in charge of clinical teaching and includes the application of didactic principles necessary for its optimisation.

The report is based on the interest of the Mundo Verde Association to be recognized for its work both nationally and internationally and to show its brand in order to have better partnerships for the management of the collected waste material and of course to achieve brand recognition at local, regional and international level. The first objective is a context study where a proposal was presented to meet the needs of Mundo Verde, in the second, the diagnosis of the association was made, followed by the third objective, which is the complementation of the first four pillars of the international standard of excellence EFQM (leadership, people, strategic policy and alliances and resources), as the fourth objective is the international prospective of the brand with which we intend to make a strong push on marketing issues with different actions to be carried out. All of the above is done so that the association is prepared to venture into other contexts performing the same work of impact with knowledge and excellence in its processes.

This book analyses the work and role of educational action in the operationalization and efficiency of codes of ethics in organizations, especially in the EDM company. For better analysis and support, it first looks at the foundations, causes and concepts that have guided the emergence of the ethical debate in general and ethics applied to organizations in particular. Looking at the current context characterized by a crisis of values due, to a large extent, to the exclusionary nature of globalization in which many organizations also find themselves, due to inequalities, wage and social injustice, conflicts of interest and corruption, this situation can lead to collective redundancies, unemployment and even bankruptcy of organizations. One of the main objectives of this thesis is to analyze the educational action carried out by the EDM Company with a view to increasing workers' commitment to the code of ethics.

The theoretical constructions presented, arise as a result of postgraduate studies at the Universidad Nacional Experimental Rómulo Gallegos, in the Master's Degree in Educational Guidance. Specifically in the Curricular Unit: Group Processes. From there, the masters structure a series of reflective essays sustained with the diverse theories and experiences lived in terms of Group Processes, throughout the conjunctural situation: Before-During-Post pandemic, which are constituted in the axes that direct and that conform each one of the sections of this text.

The book arises as a result of the research presented by the students of the eighth semester of the Bachelor's Degree in Administration of the Higher School of Tlahuelilpan belonging to the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, whose objective is to compile the research and observe the commitment and dedication they have. students towards the community and the well-being of those around them, taking an interest in topics that contribute to the student society and society in general.

Advances in the molecular field of parasites are a new space that is being developed thanks to the various molecular techniques in parasitology, which is why it is now possible to effectively detect, prevent, control and eradicate diseases caused by parasites. In this case we present the main contributions of molecular technology for the study of Visceral Leishmanisis in an integrated way for the detection of the aetiological agent in order to obtain and effectively manage a molecular epidemiological study. Conventional methods and electron microscopy are reviewed step by step. All serological techniques for parasite detection are demonstrated. Molecular protocols are explained from cell culture, DNA extraction from promastigote samples, biopsy samples and the different techniques of telomeric PCR, gel preparation, Southern blotting, dot, slot and blots, telomeric probe labelling, hybridisation and other molecular methods. Ethical considerations. Finally, the use of the biogeographical and ecoepidemiological method is established.

This book gathers the artistic-pedagogical experiences carried out with a group of children and young people from the school IED Castilla (Bogotá, D.C.-Colombia), assisted by the Fundación Jóvenes con Talento under the framework of the project "Bogotá en Caricatura" in agreement with IDEARTES. In it you will find a research process that proposes the insertion of caricature in the artistic curriculum, presents the activities developed by the students, the analysis of the author's experience as a teacher and the possibilities of the practice of caricature for the development and understanding of the visual.

Music education faces the challenge of integrally educating new generations, connecting learning with its sociocultural context and promoting an active and transformative participation. This book provides essential theoretical and methodological elements to advance towards this longed-for purpose, through a research that highlights the need to incorporate contemporary music production in the training of music teachers. The text introduces us to various intertwined themes; on the one hand, resorting to important theoretical approaches in social psychology and, on the other, to the analysis of the strong economic dependence of countries with emerging economies. Thus, the problems of the migration of Mexicans from the huasteca potosina, the social and environmental conditions that expel them from their communities of origin, the adaptive adjustments to the receiving culture on their journey to the United States, and the use of the economic resources generated are amalgamated to present a very valuable approach to the reality addressed.

Organisations such as the WHO state that the effects caused by air pollution are reflected on the most vulnerable populations worldwide due to factors such as growth and development that imply a healthier state of people and that the most vulnerable population is children between 4 and 13 years of age because they are in school and recreational environments where the air takes inadequate care of the children's wellbeing. Reviews on the topic of school environments emphasised that indoor air quality (IAQ) is often inadequate in classrooms and causes an increased risk of asthma and other health-related symptoms in the preschool environment. It is more pronounced in developed countries.

Sometimes companies are forced to expand to foreign markets in order to stay alive, but this is not the only cause that can explain the process of internationalization, there are various proposals and points of view that bring us closer to the real reasons, this process is framed in the need for companies to maintain advantages or some degree of differentiation compared to other companies, the study of these causes and the different trends that lead companies to seek other borders becomes essential to achieve a more accurate understanding of their true intentions.

This book is intended to contribute to the strengthening of primary education through the services it offers to its student community. In this sense, to realise the areas of opportunity that exist in order to generate the most appropriate mechanisms for them. Each section is an important part of the school and therefore, addressing them directly will allow us to have a vision closer to the school reality. The training of primary school teachers has been a permanent task of Cuban society since its origins, and Cuban teachers have distinguished themselves for their dedication to the education of new generations. After the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, qualitative leaps have been made in the progress of education, where one of the main tasks has been the promotion and improvement of teacher training. The training of primary school teachers is a crucial mission, due to the importance of their influence as the basis of society, in educational work and the formation of values for generations of Cubans. The purpose of this work is to guarantee the efficient preparation of teachers to satisfy the demands and needs of the school, which requires a dynamic and creative teacher, with deep Martiano and patriotic roots, who contributes to the integral formation of students, so that they can respond on their own and beyond the school, to the requirements that the development of society imposes, strengthening the value of honesty in students.

The techniques developed by the teacher in the learning process are part of the cognitive psychology that leads to the student's motivation to learn. The success of these strategies depends on the experience accumulated by the teacher, as well as the interest in teaching and learning, playing on the ability of each person to apply all his or her resources in the most effective way possible to each learning situation. At the present time, it has been observed that the university teacher has to develop academic skills that are flexible and dynamic, allowing students to adapt to different situations in order to avoid academic desertion; however, when observing in teaching practice that students must be motivated through subjects that are related to learning strategies. In this way, it is of great value to inquire about the types of learning that teachers promote in students to allow a creative and motivating educational process of students and professionals with virtues and skills necessary for the development of countries.

The need to favor the social inclusion of schoolchildren with Down syndrome became the starting point of this research, which has as its objective: to apply an action plan aimed at favoring the social inclusion of a schoolchild with Down syndrome located in an elementary school in the city of Santa Clara, Cuba. The use of theoretical and empirical methods allowed determining the existence of difficulties in the social inclusion of the student, influenced by scarce progress in the development of the pragmatic component, and by limitations in the development of habits and skills. Based on the diagnosis made, an action plan is proposed, which is designed taking into account the strengths and limitations determined. The specialists consulted agree on the functionality, relevance, quality and feasibility of the proposal. With its practical application, positive transformations in the social inclusion of the selected case are observed and the effectiveness of the proposal is corroborated.

Methodologically, the text was guided by the documentary design, based on the incorporation of the work done by Romero, Brito and Bandres (2011). As well as Montero and Hochman (1996). They served as support for the conformation of the theoretical elements on which the present text is based. Therefore, they are complemented with secondary sources that contribute elements to the text in reference.

The present research project is focused on carrying out a semiotic analysis, according to Roland Barthes' structural theory, in the novel La última pared roja, by Pedro Artieda Santacruz. The main objective of this study is to identify the semiotic, structural and contextual elements that appear in the story. The actancial, functional and narrative levels are used, as well as the denotative and connotative theory proposed by Barthes. The independent variable is the structural semiotic analysis, enriched with the theorems of Vladimir Propp, Julien Greimas, Tzvetan Todorov and Roland Barthes; and the dependent variable is the narrative work La última pared roja, by Pedro Artieda, typical of Ecuadorian literature in the 21st century. The theoretical framework explains the dimensions of the actantial analysis, the functions of the story and the narrative points of view; also, the internal and external structure of the work, as well as a biographical sketch of the author of the proposed novel. Finally, a methodology is proposed for recognising the main subject of a narrative work by means of semiotic analysis.

THE INCIDENCE OF INTANGIBLE ASSETS IN THE STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL POSITION AND INCOME STATEMENT OF THE MANUFACTURING COMPANIES OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR IN THE CITY OF CALI, DUE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS NIC 38The value of intangible assets for the pharmaceutical sector of the producing companies does not have a relevant percentage participation in the value of their investments, with respect to the other assets, this apparently according to interviews because of two points: 1. because these companies are mostly subsidiaries of multinationals, which are the ones that centralize the development, recognition, measurement and disclosure of the value of trademarks, research, patent registrations and contracts; 2. the investments of intangible purchases, research and development are not a common practice in Colombia.

The WMO predicts that between 2020 and 2023 there is a 10% chance of a 1.5°C global temperature increase. This means that the UN goal of not exceeding this threshold will not be heeded because of the very pace of accelerating global warming. While by 2030 we will reach 450 ppm CO2, if we continue at the same rate of pollution, and as a result the fateful 2°C which will trigger the positive feedbacks that will cause the abrupt thawing of the continental Arctic permafrost and then of the submarine clathrates, which are already showing an active thawing process. At the same time, the floating ice at the North Pole will have disappeared during the summers, along with the albedo effect, and the Arctic Ocean will be warming to 5°C/7°C, triggering the release of methane gas hydrates from the bottom. Global temperatures will then soar to ~4º/6º C and up to 12º C at both poles, initiating accelerated melting of Greenland and Antarctica, potentially raising the oceans up to 60 metres in years rather than millennia, flooding all coastal cities and causing 600 million simultaneous environmental refugees.

The scope of radiology as an auxiliary means of diagnosis is of significant benefit to all clinical branches of stomatology: dental surgery and endodontics, surgery, dentistry, prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry, when the interrogation, observation, palpation does not clearly show the condition of a tooth or jaw area, a radiograph is necessary to establish the jaw bone condition. Radiographic examination is essential for root examination or to evaluate the periodontal condition, as well as to detect the possibility or not of the existence of root debris, focal infections, retained teeth, cysts, bone sequestration, bone spicules, situation of the maxillary sinus, fractures, incipient caries; acute and chronic, periapical processes, salivary gland affections in endodontic treatments to verify dentinal follicles, etc.In stomatology clinics, the Radiology service is attended by the Stomatological Care technician who also contributes as a member of the health team in the treatment of various dental pathologies.

The work presents a supervised and distributed approach based on holonic architecture, called SUDIHA, for dynamic scheduling of CPPS. This approach integrates three holons: the product holon, the resource holon and the order holon. The product holon provides global supervision, while the resource holon offers dynamic local control. The idea is to adjust the level of autonomy of the local holons according to the level of authority of the global holons to achieve a delicate balance and ensure the stability of the manufacturing system.In a second step, we developed the DT-SUDIHA architecture, using the Digital Twin concept. DTs are virtual representations of the real system that enable bidirectional interaction with their physical counterparts. This helps resolve the complexity and increase the flexibility of production systems. A case study is carried out in a flexible workshop to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The results show that the SUDIHA architecture, combined with the use of digital twins, enables robust and flexible dynamic planning, capable of handling disturbances.

Collaborative work is a phrase that encompasses in itself the alliance, union and innovation of a company, it is similar to performance, competitiveness and achievement of goals, based primarily on the need for continuous progress and changes that occur within organizational structures to fulfill the mission and vision implemented and to guide the behavior of individuals in order to achieve maximum quality and productivity. The general objective of this study is to propose strategies for collaborative work in the optimization of operational management. Case Study: Transporte Unipuerto C. A; located in Guacara, Carabobo State. Regarding the type and design of the research, it is located in the quantitative model, deductive method, based on a descriptive field research.
