This book provides a detailed history of the rise and fall the House of Strachan (c. 1203-1350) based on charters, grants, and reliable antiquarian sources. This book also debunks many myths and speculations regarding the ancient House of Strachan, and provides a very powerful argument the Strachan Family were baronial freeholders of the barony of Strachan, and vassals of the crown until they were disinherited by King Robert de Bruce on 1 November 1315.
