Elizabeth Strong has survived the sinking of The Majestic in 1909 and after recovering, she disappears and crosses the portal between Kominah to Earth. Showing up in 1919, Elizabeth reunites with her family and friends.

After the reunion, Elizabeth begins a new life in Sweet Grass, Montana and waits to see why she has been called. Elizabeth also discovers that Ethan Mc Tavish lives in Sweet Grass.

Soon Elizabeth realizes orphan girls go missing every year when the weather is warmer and begins investigating. Working to uncover who is taking the girls. The deeper Elizabeth digs, the more dangerous the stakes become. Elizabeth and her friend, the Sheriff, and an old friend, Maxwell Gryhm, work to find out where the girls disappear to and why are they being taken.

Can Elizabeth discover the plot? Why orphans? Where do they go? How can she reconcile her burgeoning feelings for Ethan, who refuses to entertain the idea that God is good? Will Ethan's stubbornness cause Elizabeth to deny the bond they started and be separated from Ethan for good?
