Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on HIV/TB Diagnosis

One of the significant and enduring public health problems of the twenty-first century is the threefold burden of COVID-19, tuberculosis (TB) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). In countries with a high HIV and TB burden like Nigeria, HIV, TB and newly emerging infectious diseases such as coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemics are anticipated to overlap. This book explains findings from a research that monitored the public health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on HIV/TB diagnosis in the FCT, Nigeria.The research was carried out in HIV and TB testing laboratories within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The study population comprised all the full-time Lab professionals working in the selected laboratories.
