John Berrien Lindsley

One cannot study the life of Lindsley without being impressed by the amount and variety of his labours and the dignity and ability with which he accomplished them. As dean and chancellor of the medical school of the University of Nashville, which he organised and directed, he contributed vitally to the cause of organised medicine in the South and Southwest.
