Just seven days

The last week of the Lord Jesus Christ is the most profound record of the end of a life ever written. And yet, whilst it is a true account of betrayal, illegality and injustice, it is at the same time a remarkable message of hope and optimism. After all, Jesus lay down his life so that he might take it up again... and in so doing opened up the way of life for others to follow.
This short volume seeks to draw out the main events and themes from this final week, applying both an expositional and exhortational style. This is so that the reader might not only be impressed by what happened, but also consider why it happened and how we should respond in our individual lives as disciples.
May we ever be filled with gratefulness that Jesus not only submitted to the cross, but also in the events that led up to it left such a powerful example of what it is to subject a human will to the divine:
"Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God." (Hebrews 10:7)
