A collection of short stories that all seem to have different topics and characters but that seem to revolve around one concept, a mysterious play, The King in Yellow. Like the Cthulhu Mythos, that Chambers is considered to be part of, the stories herein are all connected by a central motif, not only of the play itself but on the human condition and in the inevitable coming of dark powers from beyond.
