The book’s characters came to author J. A. Whitzel in a dream. The characters and story from her first book “stuck with me and I found myself asking questions about them constantly. I had to explore their individual stories further. I realized my dream by writing the Kingdom X series, and dedicate this second book to my cousin, Thad G. Gayman, a legend in his own time taken too soon from this world. He would have been ecstatic that I have realized my dream.” The author resides in a small town in Pennsylvania.
