Level of Resilience in Adolescents

According to Latin American researchers, resilience tells us that it is the capacity that people have to excel in the face of adversity; but it should also be considered that resilience is the opportunity to improve in the face of negative experiences, recognising limitations, whether affective or cognitive, and transforming them into opportunities to move forward; the Pan American Health Organisation points out that resilience is inherent to each individual, as someone unique who possesses the potential to face adversity and emerge stronger; The promotion of resilience is also the responsibility of all adults who have the role of protecting, guiding and sheltering a growing adolescent who needs the support of an adult to continue strengthening his or her abilities.
