Looking at our Adolescents

The generic name of adolescence usually refers to a variable period of time in the development of the human being. The adolescent is subject to a variety of somatic and psychic changes that mobilize a great emotional charge, with an intensity that is rare at other times in the development of life. He must face these changes in his body as well as in his mind and this places him in a situation of vulnerability; he does not easily control his emotional states and his almost permanent feeling of insecurity makes him very susceptible to the influences exerted on him by the people around him. His behavior is usually very variable depending on the place where he is and the people who accompany him.
