After the Battle of Trafalgar (1805), interest in the history of the Royal Navy increased dramatically. This volume, written by Naval Office clerk Charles Derrick and first published in 1806, contains an account of changes in the strength of the navy between 1485 and 1805, and remains a valuable reference.
