The concept of "neighborhood", which was declared obsolete some time ago, is more present again ¿ among the population, in the urban landscape, in social policy and in science. However, both in theory and practice, it has changed continuously over time depending on developments in society as a whole. The phenomenon, which is becoming more and more complex, was empirically investigated using a selected example, the Tübingen Alter Güterbahnhof Quartier.
