Narrative of a Voyage to the West Indies and Mexico in the Years 1599–1602

The publications of the Hakluyt Society (founded in 1846) made available edited (and sometimes translated) early accounts of exploration. This 1859 translation was the first publication of an account of a 1599 journey to the West Indies and Mexico by Champlain, who is better known as the founder of Quebec.
