Of Time and Angels

Angels. Time. Christ. God. Planting religious figures within contemporary visions, Richard Lee Granvold melds these ideas together into a poetic ballad concerned with finding the eternal self within the now. Evoking the mystical lyricism of poets like Yeats and Whitman, Granvold's search is one for spirituality within the cogs and clock arms of modern times. Death approaches all, but Granvold fixes his gaze beyond it, beyond the horizon, upon the angels which beckon us forward through time.
