Parental Rejection and Gay Relationship Quality

This study examined the effects of perceived parental rejectioningay men and romantic relationshipquality during the 2020 COVID-19 global pandemic. Meyer (2003) noted several dimensions of minority stress that LGBTQIA+ individualsare at risk of experiencing, including
discriminationbased on their sexual orientation, internalizing negative societal attitudes about homosexuality, and expecting rejection due to their sexual orientation.
