When Jez leaves his hometown in order to attend the mystical Carceri Academy, he discovers secrets about both himself and those he thought he knew. There begins an incredible journey of wonder and adventure. With the aid of a few friends, he battles demons and evil sorcerers as he opposes forces that have not walked the world since its foundations were laid. Still other powers contend with him, and the most terrifying one may be the one that lies within his own soul.
