In hoc opere, personae diversas, inter quas Socrates, Phaedrus, Aristophanes, et Alcibiades sunt, convivio inter se fruuntur et discursus de amore habent. Socrates, qui est protagonistes, argumentum amoris investigat, et per ea quae dicuntur, amorem non solum corporis sed etiam animi explicat.
