Über Poorer Than Glory
Poorer Than Glory is one of the best fiction pieces from Rishi Biswas that reflects his poetic ideologies. As the novel proceeds, he takes the reader through long lyrical corridors of his self-composed poetry, and a few songs penned over the last decade. Particularly, the psychedelic essence of 'Mind is a Pauper', 'Decayed in Time', 'Replica', and 'Blood Suckers of Innocence' conveys the power of his words.
This novel portrays the conflict of psychology of an aspiring Indian dancer, a girl who believes that fame is love, and a guy who never wants to grow up or become someone. And there comes a time when they calculatedly trade off their individualities for values that never belonged to them, cutting the roots of their ideologies loose.
