The purpose of this work was to generate constructs on the Professional Competences of University Teachers in the Framework of Education 4.0, UNELLEZ Santa Bárbara program. In it, the following theories were considered: The path of continuing teacher education. A look through professional competencies. Teachers and their professional competencies, education 4.0. A challenge in the training process and the theories of meaningful learning, the humanistic theory and the theory of metacognition in continuing education. Methodologically, the interpretative paradigm of qualitative approach was approached, under the use of the phenomenological method; conversational techniques and narration were considered, through chat, emails, video calls, on-line interviews, WhatsApp, others, the semi-structured interview was applied to the seven (07) teachers considered key informants in the development of this research. The procedure used for the analysis of the information was categorization, individual structuring, general structuring, contrasting and theorizing.
