A visit to the settlements established by the Idians for the return of the Banished leads Nayla and Rhijn, the face from her dreams, into a deadly discovery. As Nayla begins to process the connection to the Ember she holds and the mysterious male, tragedy erupts, and the duo narrowly escape after combining their powers.
With her distrust of the Idians finally fading, Nayla hopes to avert the coming bloodshed and takes Rhijn and a group of emissaries back to the Realm of the Banished.
But things have gotten far worse in the short time she'd been away.
The mad healer, Emerson, has all but consumed the realm, and before long, they're caught in the heat of battle, the carnage Nayla hoped to prevent evolving before her eyes.
