Set in 1987, that faraway time when there was no internet and lawn darts were still legal, Rebel Without A Pause: The Story Of A Young Guy Who Gave Humanity The Finger! is a troubled teenager's sardonic look at life after just nineteen years of living.
Identifying himself only as "Ronald," the candid teen quickly tells the reader: "I am the first person in my family to have a brain. Keep that in mind."
But "Ronald" also informs us that "these sarcastic notes are being scribbled in a sanitarium somewhere in New England."
Ronald is also the first person in his family to have a nervous breakdown.
