Sacrifice

Sacrifice, the sixth and final book in The Moncrief Legends, wraps up the tale of Erica and Seth, Jarius and Kim, the children, the brother, the devil, and the lies that have worked to pull them all apart.
Erica's baby is born and the apparitions who have covered the group from as much harm as possible linger a bit longer, anticipating trouble, or just unwilling to leave the people they love, and the unfinished business they carry.
While Thaddeus fights for his life in not-quite-hell, even more treachery is revealed. To say he anticipated anything less than his own tortured death would be a lie, but through the fights to survive in the cruel environment and find his child before she is sold off, he learns more about the vulgar deceit of his would-be wife and just how far she would go to harm the people around her.
The rest of his family are left to wonder about Thad's disappearance, to suffer over the visions of what awaits him now that he's back in the hands of his malicious father. There are no details, no comforts, only dreadful speculation, only the knowledge that he was taken and will likely never escape. Erica's connection to her only brother is severed and she has nothing but her own frightening thoughts to direct her, to reveal his situation, however perilous it might be. Can she call him back with her gift? It's never worked before, but it's all she's got.
All have their own ideas of how to reconnect with Thad and each is as unlikely as the next. There is simply no way to reach him.
Or is there?
Is there someone who can wield a new truth? Seth begins to pick up on subtle differences within the group, a shift in power, more, new abilities, things that he can use to his advantage, providing he can bend whatever it is to his will. If he can make it so it just might cost him his life, but the sacrifice would be a worthy one, and one he is willing to gamble with.
