Shakespeare's Tragic Heroes

Campbell investigates Hamlet, Othello, Lear and Macbeth in relation to their guiding emotions. More than a simple character study, this work is an early example of the current scholarly interest in the Renaissance understanding of the passions, and will also interest scholars of early modern medicine and philosophy.
