Über Share Joy!
Our heroine's mother tells our heroine, just as she leaves to go out to play, that 'shared joy is double joy, and shared sorrow is half a sorrow' (which is an old Swedish proverb). And our heroine is dumbfounded once again. Because (you see) she doesn't know why her mother said what she said, or understand why she said what she said. And so, when she goes out to play, she tells everyone what her mother said to see what they think. And in the end, our heroine figures it out all by herself.
Think about what you think our heroine's mother meant, as you practice your reading skills and build your reading word vocabulary through word recognition, word repetition and rhyme, all of which you will find on the pages of this fun, 'learn to read' book written and illustrated by the award winning author, attorney and former K-6 teacher, Penelope Dyan.
But most of all, have fun as you learn; because learning must be (and should always be) fun! Then, when you are all finished traveling through this book, you can go to Bellissimavideo's YouTube channel and watch the free, fun music video that goes with this book!
