Susan Delaney is a smart, attractive, loyal woman, whose parents taught her that all good things are possible with hard work. They provided her with the best education that money could buy. However, Susan sacrifices her entire law career to marry Jeremy. Disapproving of her choice of husband and her decision to walk away from her career, Susan's father distances himself from their lives, leaving Susan feeling isolated and defenseless against the man she married.
