Finn's life should have been one of comfort. As a royal child of Parthalan he has access to great wealth and status, and every pleasure one could wish for. Everything, except a relationship with the one person who has always held his heart: Mara, the eldest daughter of the First Hunter and the deva'shi. Mara has always seen Finn as nothing more than a friend, but in the aftermath of the orc attack on Tingu they grew closer... close enough for Finn to realize that Mara is hiding a very big secret, one that could undermine his mother, Queen Asherah, and her final victory.

After a lifetime of heartache and confusion, Asherah has finally regained all of her memories. She is The Deliverer, Parthalan's first defender, and the last of the old gods to stand against Olluhm. Now that Olluhm's treachery is common knowledge, Asherah sets about removing him and restoring Parthalan to its former glory. In order to do that Asherah will need to call upon allies old and new, and artifact that was hidden away long ago in a different realm. The key to her victory rests with her first love, Torim, who has known who Asherah is all along: Parthalan's savior.

And as for Latera, the deva'shi of legend, she's found where Iruna-the mastermind behind her and her daughter's abductions, and the orcs in the north-has been hiding, and resolves to make her pay.
