Tell el-Amarna

A pioneering Egyptologist, Flinders Petrie (1853-1942) excavated over fifty sites and trained a generation of archaeologists. Published in 1894, this richly illustrated excavation report from Tell el-Amarna features fragments of cuneiform tablets that contain diplomatic correspondence from the fourteenth century BCE, alongside other important artefacts.
