The Adventures of Stanley the Cat is in part a true story. There is a little girl named Mary Leigh and Stanley was her cat. There was a dog named Cleopatra, better known as DJM Patra Puppy. As for Stanley having a friend named Maximus, and the mice having a wedding feast, well that is only in your imagination. Can't you just close your eyes and see mice eating cold cucumber soup and raspberry meringues?
About the Author
D. Ann Hollon was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, on a cold February morning. She currently resides in Keene, New Hampshire. She is the mother of three grown children and five grandchildren.
This is Hollon's second children's book. The first, The Christmas Pony, was published in 2012.
