The Angel on the Water

Lemka is bored with her home, bored with her school, bored with life. All she wants is to find adventure, exactly the way she wants it, away from her town and out in the world. But she's suddenly reluctant to leave home after seeing an angel in a vision. Lemka is marked for a Champion of Light; she must travel across the continent to become a paladin, and live all her days as a holy warrior of the Church of Light. Of course Lemka is doubtful... but who is she to go against the designs of Heaven? Years of training follow, and always the promise of battle; life has given Lemka all the adventure she wants. Now the clouds of war gather in the East... with a crusade declared, Lemka must travel to distant nations to find glory and conflict. Old bonds are strengthened and new friendships forged; enemies both mortal and otherwise are met on the battlefield, and in the heart; courage and love and sorrow are found. In a life sworn to service and quest, Lemka will learn more of her world, and of the worlds beyond, than she could ever desire.
