Who would murder a man that everybody likes?
Forensic accountant Clarke is hired to investigate irregularities at a pharmaceutical company. But a routine job quickly turns into something far more threatening when Clarke discovers a body in the company's research laboratory. The company's employees all have their own secrets, but which of them was driven to murder? And who would murder a genuine Mr Nice Guy? No one appears to have a motive.

As the financial investigation progresses, Clarke searches for a connection to the murder. Someone is trying to bring the company down but, amid escalating intimidation and threats of violence from animal rights protestors, she struggles to find the truth.

As Clarke finally uncovers the murderer's identity, she realises how dangerous they really are. Time is running out. Can she save herself and the company's employees before it's too late?
