Charlene is a beautiful young girl who is quiet and shy and rarely speaks to anyone. Charlene has dyslexia, and it prevents her from making friends.
Then, one day, she gains an unexpected companion named Ruby. Ruby is a red boxer that no one wants because of a unique feature that causes people to shy away from adopting her. However, when Charlene meets Ruby, they become best friends, and Charlene gains confidence in her everyday life.
