Based on mid-nineteenth century journals, this 1859 publication recounts the experiences of two Sierra Leonean preachers who established separate missions on the banks of the Niger. It also contains an intriguing table of Crowther's expenses incurred on a canoe expedition, and a list of Ibo proverbs collected by Taylor.
