Über The Key
From page one, Sophie Lee Harris has a team of assassins on her heels. She knows she will get away, because that's what she does. She keeps the bad guys in their place and protects the key her father gave her as a child. Only, while she's cutting through the woods of Virginia, the screaming music from a random house party distracts her. The music catches her ears in the forest's quiet, and forces her to cross paths with James Moore. She didn't expect someone to be on the edge of the forest line, but he was, and now his life was in danger too.
In the process of taking out the team on her heels and saving the strange boy that stirs much more than just butterflies in her stomach, one of them runs her over with a van. Sophie wakes up in a strange house, with a strange boy by her bed, and no memories of who she is, or her purpose to keep the world safe. It's through her dreams and memories that Sophie can find the answers she searches for.
Nothing is worse than having your loved ones taken away from you. However, for Sophie, they never quite leave her for good. Her parents, Jess and Jack, reside in a dream realm that allows them to communicate with their daughter and help her find her way. Following the rules, of course.
With a psychopath determined to bring in Sophie and the key she protects at all costs, her parents refused to allow her to fight the battle alone. No one knows how blurred the line between life and death actually is, and Sophie's parents will blur it as much as possible if it means keeping their daughter safe from the man with the cane.
