The Naval Chronicle, published in 40 volumes between 1799 and 1818, is a key source for British maritime and military history. Volume 7 (1802) covers professional issues such as ship building, naval education and lifesaving equipment. It also contains the terms of the Treaty of Amiens, biographies and topographical notes.
