The power of language as a means of liberation

Über The power of language as a means of liberation

Every human being has the aptitude to speak the language of double articulation, which is a fundamental feature of human unity, and this aptitude has enabled and produced, on this unique structural basis, an infinite diversity of languages (Morin, 2006, p. 67). Our life has no certainties, rather it is a pure openness, a chaotic opening to the uncertainty of the unknown; in this transition, language fulfils a series of functions: representative, expressive, appellative, phatic, metalinguistic, poetic, among others, which become great bounties that life confers on us so that we can give significance to our passage through this enormous cosmic placenta in which we coexist with other beings with whom we are religiously connected, by means of that innate capacity, language, that which makes our life like a kind of theatre, in which we act simultaneously as actors and spectators. Every human being is capable of observing the situation and of observing himself in it, on every stage, in every event.
