Über The problem of psycho-social reintegration of raped women
Sexual violence against women is one of the macabre scourges in the areas affected by the repeated wars of liberation in Eastern DR Congo in general and in the Mwenga Territory in particular. According to estimates, 70% of the victims of sexual violence were women. Once raped, women find it difficult to stay in their homes because they are traumatised, affected by sexually transmitted diseases, abandoned or simply rejected by their husbands who fear being infected by diseases6 . In fact, these women find themselves isolated and no longer have access to their crop fields in order to meet some of their needs. The efforts made by structures such as ARSF would not only contribute to the involvement of everyone but also and above all to the reintegration of the victims into the community. After listening, counselling and medical care, it is necessary for them to find out how they can live or how they can be independent. So, at all costs, these victims need to be reintegrated economically.
