The teacher as an agent of transformation in the musical context

How is a maestro forged, what characteristics should he or she possess, and how did the guitar movement begin in Venezuela and the Colombian border? These and other questions are developed throughout this research, which is based on the artistic, pedagogical, creative and cultural work of the Venezuelan maestro Rafael Suárez. Throughout these pages, a detailed tour of his work in favour of the classical guitar is offered, as well as an account of his beginnings, influences, achievements and difficulties, revealing unprecedented situations that became a source of learning and personal and professional growth. This accumulation of experiences has allowed him to place himself among the most important visionaries in the field of academic guitar, achieving his goals and becoming undoubtedly recognised as a master in every sense of the word.
