The Threshold of Anglo-Saxon

Originally published in 1926, and first published as this second edition in 1935, this volume was created with the intention of bringing some of the most interesting passages in Anglo-Saxon prose and poetry within the range of the beginner. The volume is chiefly comprised of passages from The Chronicle and Beowulf.
