Theoretical and methodological foundations

In recent years, chronic non-communicable diseases have become the leading cause of death worldwide. They cause degeneration and sequelae in the body of the individual who suffers from them and among them with a high incidence rate is Chronic Kidney Disease (hereinafter CKD), which affects 10% of the world's population. The Pan American Health Organization (hereinafter PAHO) and the World Health Organization (hereinafter WHO) refer to the fact that there are more than 500 million patients with CKD in the world.
