Travels and Researches in Asia Minor, Mesopotamia, Chaldea, and Armenia

Following the Euphrates Expedition of 1835, surgeon William Ainsworth (1807-96) was made leader of a second expedition through Asia Minor, northern Syria, Kurdistan, Persia and Armenia, of which this two-volume account was published in 1842. Volume 2 describes the journey through Armenia, and the return via Trebizond.
