Trouble You Don't Knead: A Laughing Loaf Bakery Mystery

It's fall in River Grove, and the air smells like wood smoke, spiced lattes and fresh bread. Out-of-town customers flock to The Laughing Loaf, as local news recommends the bakery as a not-to-be-missed destination in the redwoods.
After her maybe-boyfriend Nate takes off for a bird photography gig in the Galapagos Islands, Gracie chases a mysterious prowler from her front porch. The next day, a man in a green overcoat is found dead on the highway into town. The man has no ID, only a photo of Gracie in his pocket. Suddenly Police Chief Westerman is asking questions. The witness protection marshals monitoring Gracie and her father begin planning their relocation from River Grove-which may happen before Nate returns from his shoot.
