Über Veterinary Anatomy
In order to become a competent veterinary
practitioner, it is essential to have a good
grasp of veterinary anatomy. While
descriptive anatomy was once the only
method of teaching this subject, applied
veterinary anatomy is now being used to
provide students with practical and clinical
knowledge. Although academic programs
are reducing the amount of time devoted to veterinary anatomy,
certain basic concepts, such as functional, comparative, and applied
aspects, are still taught in depth. However, other anatomy-related
concepts that could be useful in practice may not receive as much
attention. Therefore, the aim of the book is to help readers
understand the role of anatomy in small animal veterinary practice.
The book covers various research areas such as the cardiovascular
system, musculoskeletal system, prostate, hoof, histopathology,
imaging, and molecular techniques. However, there is a shortage of
scientists engaged in veterinary research due to too few veterinarians
pursuing research careers, and a lack of facilities and funding for
conducting research. Despite this, the book provides comprehensive
coverage of the complex subject of veterinary research.
