Vietnam

The 61st Aviation Company was a US Army medium transport unit and the first to fly the Caribou in Vietnam. The author was in the unit's initial group of personnel to be stationed in Vietnam, from 1963 to 1964. This book is a collection of photos and recollections of his time with the 61st in Vietnam.

The photographs in this book cover a wide range of subjects, from the technical to the esoteric. They give a glimpse into duty in Vietnam beyond the fighting and destruction. A view into a time and a country that no longer exist except in memory.
