Welfare assessment in lactating cows

Knowing the behaviour of dairy cattle is one of the ways to help understand their physiology and contribute to the development of new management techniques that provide the animals with greater comfort and improve productivity. The aim of this study was to assess the applicability of the animal welfare indicators developed by the Welfare Quality® protocol in different dairy production systems in tropical conditions, since it evaluates and considers most of the critical points and aspects related to the welfare of dairy cattle.
